How do I join the club?
Joining the club is easy. Simply follow the process outlined on our Membership page.
What are the benefits of membership?
Membership provides access to the club at reduced fees and offers various benefits during events and competitions. It also serves as proof of subscription to a shooting club, which is required for firearm applications with SAPS.
Are visitors welcome at events?
Visitors are always welcome at our events, although some may require prior registration, typically finalised in the week leading up to the event.
Do I need to book?
Booking is only necessary for events that specify registration on the Disciplines page. Other events operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
Are you open on X day?
We are open to the general public only during events listed on the Calendar page. No shooting activities take place on Sundays or public holidays.
Can I use the range during the week?
The range is generally not available to the public during the week, only on Saturdays during club-hosted events. However, friends of the club might be able to assist you during the week. Experienced members may be granted unsupervised access for private and business use after going through an approval process.
Can I rent or purchase firearms or ammunition from the club?
The club does not rent or sell firearms or ammunition. However, friends of the club may be able to assist you.
Do you provide training?
While the club does not offer formal firearms training, our members and safety marshals are happy to share their expertise. For formal training, friends of the club may be able to assist you.
Do you offer storage facilities?
The club does not provide storage facilities. However, friends of the club might be able to assist you with firearm storage.
How do I submit a complaint?
To submit a complaint, please send your report to the attention of the executive committee at info@swpc.co.za.
